Lido Lucerne

Established in 1929 the Lido was rebuilt completely in 1998 modeled on its modernist predecessor. Artist Peter Roesch developed the colour concept.

In 1998, Architects Max Bosshard & Christoph Luchsinger replaced the dilapidated Lido by a new building closely adhering to the classical modernism of the original structure. The colouring was an integral component of the architectural concept.

The colour design created by artist Peter Roesch emphasises the summerly ultramarine blue. For this he chose Lascaux Studio. Although the wall is exposed to the sun and weather, no protective varnish was applied. The colour shines today as it did in the very beginning.
